Welcome
to Group 160's Photo Contest. Contest Rules 1. Photographs will be accepted only from the original photographer. 2. Images must have been taken with in the past year. 3. Photos must be train related. Digital, film, computer manipulated, model RR, "real" trains, all O.K. 4. Images must be no larger than 640 x 480 pixels, 100 ppi/dpi 5. Limit of 2 entries per person. 6. This contest is open to everyone 7. The contest will be held every month. Winners for this contest will be announced on April 1st. Remember, the sooner you summit you photo, the longer people have to look at it. 8. Click here to submit your image via email, or you can mail your image to: Group 160 Photo Contest, 27933 Oakmoor Street, Canyon Country, CA 91351. Group 160 is not responsible for any and all lost or damaged images. Please include a self addressed stamped envelope if you wish your image to be returned to you. 9. Group 160 reserves the right to resize entries if they do not meet the size requirements. 10. Clearly out of focus images, or poor quality images will not be posted for consideration. Picking the winners and Prizes 1. This is a "blind" contest, meaning that you will not know who took the photo until the winners are announced. 2. Each image will be assigned a number, you pick the winners. Voting for your own image is forbidden. 3. The prize is recognition of the winners unless someone donates prizes. 4. All images will be lumped together, unless I get a wide variety and large quantity of images. If that is the case, images will be broken down into subcategorizes. 5. At a later date, all winners may be entered in a contest to see "The Best of the Best!" Copyrights and Permissions 1. By submitting an image to Group 160 NTrak Club, you hereby grant Group 160 and or SoCal N, permission and rights to store, display, and use the image, its thumbnails, and your name as the photographer, indefinitely on any of SoCal N web sites and in any of SoCal N's advertising or promotional materials both printed and on-line. 2. Photographers must have sufficient permission of any recognizable models or other persons appearing in the photograph to be able to grant to Group 160 and or SoCal N the right to display their photographic submission online. 3. Any contest submissions that receive legal challenges from either copyright or insufficient model permissions will be removed and replaced. 4. Photographers retain ownership of all copyrights. 5. The use of public domain images is prohibited. 5. The photographer must hold the copyright to all photos he or she submits to the contest. Photographs that violate the laws of copyright will be disqualified. |
